Conduct applied research in the application of GIS technologies and spatial statistics to ecosystems pattern and processes and their affected biotic and abiotic components.

The G-Lab is the research laboratory of Dr. Jill S. Heaton. The lab was established in 2004 following Dr. Heaton's appointment to the faculty of the Department of Geography. The G-Lab supports Dr. Heaton's research and that of her graduate and undergraduate students. Check out our Research page for current research projects.
